What to Expect

After scheduling your appointment, you will meet with a psychologist for an initial clinical intake interview. The doctor will gather information about you or your family member's symptoms, social history, and presenting concerns. For a minority of insurance companies, we will need to submit a summary of this information to obtain authorization before testing can begin, and this process can take up to 2 to 3 weeks.

In most cases, we are able to begin testing immediately after the intake interview. Most testing batteries are completed within one to two testing sessions. For child evaluations, parents complete one or more electronic questionnaires while their child is working one-on-one with an evaluator.

Results of the evaluation are provided in the form of an individualized report, which will include diagnostic impressions and recommendations

for treatment.

Prior to Your Appointment

You will be sent a link to complete your patient packet online. If you are unable to complete this paperwork prior to your appointment, please plan to arrive to your scheduled appointment 30 minutes early, so you can complete the necessary forms in our office prior to your appointment.

On the Day of Testing

Please make sure to get a good night's sleep and eat a full meal on the day of testing. All medications should be taken as directed. We recommend dressing in layers, as the office can be unpredictably chilly. Snacks and drinks are available for patients. If your child is being evaluated, please plan to stay in our office for the duration of the testing session.

After the Evaluation

After your evaluation is complete, the psychologist will compose a report summarizing the findings. This report will be sent to you and your referring provider, if applicable, and you can access it using your 4-digit patient ID number.

You are welcome to schedule a feedback session with the psychologist, or you may prefer to go over the results with your referring provider instead.
